You never know what you'll discover when you explore a home that dates back to the Civil War era. That's what happened in Illinois not that long ago when urban explorers found that an abandoned house also included a hidden secret underground bunker.
There's no exact location given other than northern Illinois as they don't want vandals to find this historic home and destroy it. Decaying Midwest shared video of what they discovered when they looked inside a house in Illinois that was built during the Civil War that also included a secret underground place.

Old book, an in-ground pool and a hidden panel that used to cover an underground basement area complete with washing bin and other necessities to survive. Let's hope that someone can recover this Illinois house and restore it so all of this history is not allowed to decay further and be lost forever.
