Photos Show a Bear is Now Touring Southern Illinois Golf Courses

If you're planning to golf in Illinois soon especially in the southern part of the state, you might want to know that a predator might be watching. Many photos show there's a bear currently touring southern Illinois golf courses.

I saw CBS in Chicago share this interesting story about a black bear in southern Illinois. Ashley Shields shared pics with them of a curious animal that would not make a very good caddie for a golfer.

It's interesting that Wildlife Illinois only recognizes 6 official black bear sightings over the past few years. The Belleville News-Democrat said just a couple days ago that bears have been seen recently in at least 4 southern Illinois counties.

Even USA Today is now in on the black bears roaming the southern part of Illinois. I understand that seeing a bear in Illinois doesn't happen every day, but it sure seems like 6 is a low number.
