Someone Stopped at this Illinois Gas Station and Won $1.7 Million

What are your expectations when you stop at a gas station? Probably to fill up your vehicle and maybe grab some refreshments. One person stopped at an Illinois gas station and won nearly $1.7 million dollars.

This unassuming gas station at 5320 W. 127th St in Alsip, Illinois. It just launched somebody into riches.

Fox 32 in Chicago received a press release from the Illinois Lottery which said that one person on Tuesday picked up a Fast Play Jackpot ticket and walked away with $1,691,719 (before taxes). That's quite a shocker. I could probably look at this with a sour grapes viewpoint of "just wait until they see what their take home is after the state of Illinois takes their cut", but that really is quite a payday even considering that.

I consider it a good day if I have enough money left over after gassing up to get a cool drink. Whoever won this Illinois Lottery game just did a lot better than that.
