There are many ways to power through all the leftovers from the huge Thanksgiving feast in the Midwest. Some are tried and true. Turkey soup is a regular at our house and it’s delicious, but there are certainly more creative ways to level up that leftover bowl of everything that my buddy referred to as “Turkey Tom”.

A couple years ago I created the leftover turkey taco (don’t laugh). Soft shell (less messy) Leftover turkey base, cheese, stuffing and cranberry sauce. Wasn’t great, wasn’t bad. The attempt though showed that there was a desire to spruce up the leftovers.

Food Network put together a list of over sixty appetizingly innovative ideas for the mountain of leftovers piled up in your fridge.

Have you considered Mashed potato pizza? (don’t make that face). Mashed potatoes, cheese, bacon, garlic and basil. Yes, all on your pizza dough.

Leftover turkey sammich? Levels up to Turkey and stuffing Ruebens. Just add sauerkraut, dressing and Swiss cheese.

Need something lighter? Ok, how about the Turkey Waldorf Salad? Leftover turkey, cheese, apple chunks, grape halves, celery and sliced pecans.
