Yelp released a list of the 50 best places for falafel in the US and Canada and a spot in St. Louis, Missouri made the list! The place is called The Gyro Company and it is ranked 33rd on the list, according to the article a falafel is "... generally made by forming patties of mashed chickpeas or broad beans, along with a number of tasty herbs and spices, and then cooked to perfection." Falafel is usually found in Mediterranean food and Middle Eastern food.

Falafel is Fantastic

So I was introduced to falafel when I lived in Chicago, and I have to be honest, I was skeptical of it at first, but after I tried it I became a believer! Personally, when I go to a place that has falafel I like to get it as an appetizer as opposed to the meat of my gryo. But if you haven't tried it yet, take it from me (a red-blooded American male), it's good!
