Giving back is always important no matter what time of year. However, with cold weather and expensive holiday demands, the fall and winter seasons can bring on their hardships.

I'm glad that growing up my family stressed the importance of volunteering and giving back. I'd be complaining about not having expensive clothes and my parents would tell me to volunteer for a couple of hours and see if I still had that attitude.

Anytime a charity needs some help with donations or volunteering, I'm going to work my hardest to make their need known. And it's inspiring how many amazing organizations there are to support in the area.

Headed into the holiday season, many charities are gearing up to cook warm meals, have warm clothes for the cold and much more. And that's exactly the case for this one charity.

Rockford Rescue Mission in Need of Donations For Thanksgiving Meals

Everyone deserves to have a place to stay and a nice meal to warm up, especially during the holidays. During Thanksgiving, many people don't have a meal to cook, so they rely on places like the Rockford Rescue Mission.

Right now, our kitchen is busy in the best kind of way. And it's about to get MUCH busier... We're expecting to serve over 31,535 meals this Thanksgiving season.

Think of how much food that is, and how much it costs. That's an absolutely crazy amount of people to support.

Right now, they need donations to begin planning and prepping the kitchen for the big holiday. If you or people you know are willing to help out and donate, you can head to their donation page by CLICKING HERE. Donations are needed by September 30th, so lets help them before it's too late!
