Remember Eric Sorensen? For years he was the meteorologist at WREX TV in Rockford.

Well, it's been a few years since Sorensen left town, he's now at WQAD TV in the Quad Cities, it appears he hasn't forgotten about Rockford.

Sorensen's forecast mentioned possible snow for his area but a StormTrack image shows that the threat could also reach Rockford.

Most of the local weather forecasts mention rainy and wet conditions for the week in Rockford, nothing by way of snow.

National Weather Service has a 48 hour graphic showing a system rolling through Missouri on it's way to Ohio coupled with low pressure we could very well be looking at some snow in the Rockford area.

Describing what could happen in the Quad Cities, Sorensen says, "A possible changeover to all snow could occur Wednesday evening and overnight. If that occurs, a few inches of snow accumulation would be possible."

While it's not quite Rockford, a FutureTrack graphic does feature Rockford right in the middle of the "Possible Snow Zone."

Will we get snow on Wednesday in the Rockford area on Wednesday too? Who knows. It's Illinois and it's April, so anything is possible.
