Get ready for an overload of candy, eggs and pastel colors this weekend, because the Stateline will be bouncing with tons of Easter fun for your entire family to enjoy!

With many local restaurants hosting special Eater brunches and buffets, and a list full of egg hunts and Easter events to choose from, there's no reason your family needs to be home bored this weekend.

    Edgewater Easter Egg Hunt

    Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to Noon

    Free Easter event hosted by the Edgewater Neighborhood Association at Oxford Park in Rockford. An egg hunt for kids 7 and under begins at 10 a.m., with older kids joining shortly after.

    EGGstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt

    Saturday, April 15 from 1 to 3 p.m.

    Hosted by Kids SPOT at 9461 N 2nd St. in Roscoe. Kids 10 and under can hunt for eggs, play in their gym, and bounce away on inflatables. $12 per kid at the door.

    Coral Cove Annual Easter Egg Hunt

    Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15 at 10 a.m., 1 and 4 p.m.

    Join Coral Cove Family Fun Center at 586 Progressive Lane in South Beloit for a day full of Easter fun. Event is for kids 13 and under and will feature an egg hunt, (for more than just candy), a coloring workshop and bounce houses. Price is $8 per child, or 2 for $15 if you sign up in advance, which is recommended because limited spots are available.

    Easter Egg Hunt at Gateway Park

    Saturday, April 15 from 1 to 2 p.m.

    Free event hosted by Patriots Gateway Community Center and Zion Lutheran Church at Gateway Park at 615 S 5th Street in Rockford. Egg hunt is for kids 12 and under.

    Easter Fun Fest at GPS

    Saturday, April 15 from 1 to 3 p.m.

    Adults and kids ages 3 through 4th grade are invited to this free event at GPS Faith Community on N 2nd St. in Machesney Park featuring games, activities and pictures with the Easter Bunny.

    Breakfast With the Easter Bunny

    Saturday, April 15 at 9:15 a.m.

    Enjoy a pancake breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Janesville Senior Center at 69 S Water St. Event also features fun Easter activities and an egg hunt. $4 per person (1 and under are free), and pre-registration is required here.

    Village of Cherry Valley's Easter Candy Scramble

    Saturday, April 15 at 1:30 p.m.

    Free event at Baumann Park in Cherry Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny arrive at 1:30 p.m. and the candy scramble begins at 2 p.m. If raining, the event will take place at Village Hall.

    Easter Egg Factory at City First Church

    Attend one of City First Church's Easter services, and your child will receive a wristband to check out the Egg Factory after the service. The factory includes over 50,000 eggs, candy, baby chicks, family photo ops, the East Bunny and other fun characters. Family focused event for kids ages 3 through 5th grade.
