The NUIC advanced to the girls State 1A finals in 14 events at the Preliminary's Thursday.

Carmen DeVries made the triple jump finals (36'11.50). She finished second at state last year. She made the long jump finals (17.4. 5 0) with the best jump in the prelims. She also had the top time a personal best and set her own school record in the 400 in 57.95. DeVries and Rebecca Waite from Milledgeville will be a NUIC battle for the state title in the 400. Waite is in the finals in all four of her events. She ran a 59.75 in the prelims.

Milledgeville is hoping for a team state title. Waite is in the finals in the 100, 200 and 400 and joins Sage Walrath, Olivia Sturrup and Eryhah Ames in the 400 meters.

Also in the finals for Milledgeville is Sturrup whose 26.14 in the 200 prelims was even faster then Waite. Alivia Woodard in the long jump and the 800-meter relay team of Woodard, Lydia Coatney, Sturrup, and Walrath.

\Emily Offenheiser of Stockton/Warren is in the finals looking for state championships in both the discus and shot put. She had the best discus in the prelims.

Amboy made the finals in the 3200-meter relay with Ashley Althaus, Cassidy and Sidney Corcoran and Brooklyn Whelchel.
