Young At Heart Festival Currently Suspended For 2019

A Loves Park institution is in trouble if it can't get some financial help. 

MyStateline - The Young at Heart Festival has been suspended for 2019, according to festival organizers, citing declining attendance, financial loss, and an active construction zone nearby.

All hope is not lost yet. Craig Carlson is the Board Chair of the Parks Chamber of Commerce, he says "It is our hope another organization or service club will be able to carry on the event."

I really hope someone else can step up and help fund the festival. Next year would mark the 47th installment of the Loves Park annual event. It's been a part of my entire life and would be pretty bummed to see it fade away.
