Congratulations to Brian Weavel, owner of Anna’s Pizza & Pasta in Winnebago, IL. Brian has been selected to be Pizza Today‘s guest editor-in-chief for our September 2014 issue.

Brian will fly to Louisville next month to oversee the production of the September issue of Pizza Today.

Here's an opportunity to help a Stateline-area business achieve some nationwide fame.

The owner of Anna's Pizza & Pasta in Winnebago has been selected as one of three candidates for "Pizza Today" magazine guest Editor-In-Chief contest. If he wins a popular vote on the magazine's website, Brian Weavel will be the guest editor for the month of September.

He's got the credentials: Weavel has been in the pizza industry more than 25 years and has owned Anna's Pizza & Pasta for over 18 years.  And as it says on his bio on the site, he's also represented Winnebago as its “Citizen of the Year” and as its “Business of the Year.”

How can you help? The winner will be chosen though voting on the magazine's website.  You can vote once per day until 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 30.

And if he wins? I'd suggest free pizza for all, but I don't own the pizza parlor. At the very least it sounds like he'd represent the area well.
