Rockford Park District will be hosting a family whiffle ball league this summer.

It's time for some good old fashion family fun.

No technology needed.

If you want to go "old school" this summer, the Rockford Park District is having a family whiffle ball league.

Here's the best part, children ages 8-11 get to play with their parents on the same team.

This is exactly, what we need nowadays, family bonding.

Plus, it involves physical activity.

It's a six week season that runs June 6th through July 11th.

One or two games will be played between 5:30pm-8:30m at Mercyhealth Sportscore One in Rockford each week.

Games are 5 innings or 45 minutes.

Each team will consist of 8-11 players including parents and children. Multiple families can make up a single team.

Athletic shoes are required. Players may wear gloves. Equipment is provided.
