What Would Thanksgiving Be Without an Awkward Photo?

If only I had known that awkward family photos would be combined into a much-viewed internet video.

I certainly would have kept better track of our family's holiday photo collection. We've had some gems over the years.

My mom crying over a fully cooked turkey that she just dropped onto the floor (made even worse, or funnier, depending on your perspective, when she angrily tried to kick the ruined turkey, slipped in the mess, and wound up falling onto it. She looked like she was riding it through the kitchen).

The Thanksgiving my dad had just a bit too much to drink, made far more interesting by his choice of post-meal nap spots. Face down, under the table. He claimed he was petting the dog, and got sleepy.

Or, when our oven caught on fire (during a preheating cycle), forcing us out to dine at the only open place we could find...Taco Bell.
