Anyone who makes their home here in Rockford has undoubtedly heard this sentence (or a variation on it): "There's nothing to do in Rockford." Well, that's just wrong. Rockford has an abundance of places to go and things to do.

You don't even have to take my word for it. Take the word of the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (RACVB), a group of dedicated professionals who spend every day making sure that the rest of the state, the Midwest, the country, and the world knows that we're a place to put on your "To Visit" list.

This is a quick run-down of 30 things to do in 30 days during summertime in the Forest City (see how many places and events you can name):

So, the next time you're treated to the "Rockford is boring" line from someone, steer them toward this video, and send them out to see what we've got to offer.

Andrea Mandala from the RACVB joins the WROK Morning Show every Friday at 8:30am to fill you in on upcoming events and activities.
