Week 2 NUIC Football Preview

Here are this week's games in the NUIC. Forreston is ranked first in the State in the 1A AP poll getting all twelve first place votes. The Cardinals have a big showdown hosting Lena-Winslow Friday in the NUIC Northwest. The Panthers are ranked third in 1A.

An interesting non-league game will be Stockton hosting state ranked Ottawa Marquette.

In other Northwest games, Amboy/LaMoille is at Eastland/Pearl City. E/PC, is ranked fifth in AP 1A state poll. They are on the border enrollment of 1A and 2A, where they may end up.

And teams will be looking for their first win as Durand/Pecatonica plays at West Carroll and Galena is at East Dubuque.

In the Upstate, Warren travels to Aquin, who is ranked tenth in 1A. River Ridge is at Orangeville and Polo is at Milledgeville.

Dakota travels to Ashton/Franklin Center in the crossover game. Four of NUIC teams are ranked in the states top ten in 1A, with Dakota and Stockton also receiving votes.
