Here's what the VFI is all about:

The Veterans Foundation of Illinois is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that relies on public donations to support programs that promote citizenship education and volunteerism and facilitate aid for veterans and their families in need of medical, rehabilitative, educational and employment services.

Walmart also announced it's hired 1,892 Veterans for job opportunities across Illinois in the first 18 months of the retailer’s Veterans Welcome Home Commitment. The initiative guarantees a job offer to any honorably discharged veteran within the first 12 months of separation from service.
