Whatever Loyola pays Sister Jean, they need to double it.

ESPN - A trip to the Final Four of Loyola)Chicago has resulted in a 660 percent increase in donations as compared to the previous year. The private school declined to give actual dollar amounts, but said the increase represented the time period from March 1 to April 2, 2018, versus the prior year.

This article should be Exhibit A in the case for paying players.

You can talk all day about how the players are getting a free education and should be happy for it. First of all, I'm sure they ARE happy for it. Second of all, it's not enough.

Keep in mind that the 660% increase just represents the growth of donor contributions. It doesn't include the over 30 new licensees the school gave out for merchandise.

The fact is that those players gave Loyola-Chicago more advertising than any campaign could ever do. Any company on the planet would value that kind of exposure in the tens of millions of dollars and the kids did it for inflated tuition and a dorm room. That's not fair.

I don't know what the answer is, that's not my job. But when the NCAA cracks down on a school for giving their players cream cheese with their bagels and then exploits them for MILLIONS of dollars in free advertising something has to change.
