If you're an alumni of the University of Illinois Champaign - Urbana then you're most likely familiar with the schools' logo.

The college has decided to use one logo and only one to represent them.

Ok, I know I'm going to sound dumb right now but I had no idea until today that U of I had more than one logo.

Did you?

I've always saw the big bright orange "I" and knew immediately that's for U of I.

Apparently, according to WGNThe schools officials announced on Monday that they will preceed to go forward in using the block letter "I" for the logo and do away with the ornate column "I".

The ornate logo was used for non-athletic departments on the school campus since 1997, but after Monday it will slowly disappear from the campus, their letterhead and more.

I think it makes sense and honestly, not being a student of the school, the other logo was dumb. It made no sense to have two different logos.
