"Hey, let's scoop all the junk out of that gourd and eat it on some pastry! Who's with me?"

--The pilgrim who invented pumpkin pie, November 1621

Okay, to be fair, the pumpkin pie is a bit more than gourd scrapings. You might want some Cool Whip, too.

However you choose to enjoy it, a new report conducted by Offers.com detailing the favorite holiday treats of all 50 states, says that pumpkin pie is America's favorite.

By a wide margin.

33% of Americans said pumpkin pie is their number-one holiday food pleasure.

Here in the Midwest, it's almost unanimous:

  • Illinois: Pumpkin Pie
  • Iowa: Pumpkin Pie
  • Michigan: Pumpkin Pie
  • Wisconsin: Pumpkin Pie
  • Minnesota: Pumpkin Pie

According to Offers.com:
