This might be the best thing you see today or week or maybe this month. It's a supercut of dogs at an Illinois shelter at the moment they realized they were adopted and it's a bundle of pure joy.
The reason I'm asking this question is because I recently read an article about a man in India who just happens to share his food and living space with 730-plus dogs. It's okay, he lives on a farm (because that many hounds in an apartment would just be weird).
I never would have thought to dig into this topic if a friend from out of state hadn't recently (and quite randomly) asked me if Rockford is a dog or cat town, and what Illinois people prefer to have hanging around the house in the pet category.
"The more things change, the more they stay the same" is a perfect description of the American Kennel Club's (AKC) annual announcement of the most popular dog breeds in America.
Okay, maybe some other dogs around the country also have happened to pick up a case of COVID-19, but this dog, named Buster, is Illinois' first canine COVID-19 patient.
