Taco Bell Queso Dip On The Recall List

Here's another item to be added to the growing recall list.

Taco Bell Salsa Con Queso Mild Cheese Dip.

If you recently purchased a jar of this throw it out.

ABC7 shares that the manufacturer of the queso dip, Heinz Kraft, issued a recall yesterday for over 7,000 cases of the Taco Bell Salsa Con Queso Mild Cheese Dip due to possible botulism contamination.

"The dip showed signs of product separation, which can allow for the growth of Clostridiumbotulinum (C. botulinum), officials said. The bacterium can cause botulism, which can be fatal."

Yikes!

Botulism is an extreme form of food poisoning that can cause "include general weakness, dizziness, double vision, trouble with speaking or swallowing, difficulty in breathing, weakness of other muscles, abdominal distension and constipation."

So far there have been no reports of anyone getting sick or complaining over the product.

However, "officials said anyone who has the dip at home should return it for a refund or toss it out. Do not eat the dip, even if it doesn't look or smell spoiled."

The cheese dip was sold in stores throughout of the U.S. only.
