‘Stroll on State’ Organizers Are Looking For A Tree

Rockford's biggest and best holiday party is looking for the centerpiece for "Stroll on State," and they hope that someone locally can help them out.

The Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (RACVB) just posted a note on their Stroll on State webpage:

We are on the hunt for the 2018 City Christmas Tree! If you have a tree that would be perfect to be on display during Stroll on State 2018 and the holiday season, please submit your request to hgee@gorockford.com. You must include your name, phone number, address, email, approx. height of tree, and location. We are looking for a Blue Spruce, 45-50ft tall, and is easily accessible (for cutting down and transporting). Providing the tree is a donation (cost to remove the tree is covered).

All submissions will be reviewed by Stroll on State organizers. Several factors go in to considerations, including width of tree, height of power lines along the route, location of tree and the fullness of it.
