Rockford's premier holiday event, Stroll On State, is set for Saturday, November 24, 2018, and organizers are already busy preparing.

The decorations are getting ready to be placed, the activities are being planned, and the hunt is officially on for the perfect Christmas tree to light during the festival.

If you have a massive Blue Spruce in your yard that you feel deserves to be adored and see its branches in light, snap some pics of it now and send them to the Stroll On State committee by October 15.

They are specifically looking for a Blue Spruce that is about 45-50 feet tall, with full branches, that is easily accessible for cutting down and transport. There is no compensation if your tree is selected by the Stroll On State committee, but the cost of cutting it down will be covered.

To submit your tree for consideration to be Rockford's 2018 Christmas Tree, take pics, and include your name, phone number, address, email, approx. the height of the tree, and location of it, then email the info to hgee@gorockford.com.
