Stockings For Soldiers

The thermometer may say 80 but the Sinnissippi Quilt Guild needs your help to make Christmas enjoyable for out troops.

Every year the local group of quilters puts together about 2000 "stockings" to send to our military during the Christmas season. They fill the the stockings with goodies such as gum, granola bars, cookies, beef jerky, pens, pencils, cards and more.

They will be having a sewing marathon August 4th at the Bethesda Covenant Church on State Street from 9A-9P. All sewers are welcome to come. They also are welcoming any and all donations. To reserve your spot to sew or find out what you can bring email Zeta Proskocil at Zettap@aol.com.
