The Rockford City Market will have its annual Rock the Market night this Friday July 1st.

In addition to being open later, from 3:30 to 10, there will be two musical acts on the main stage under the pavilion throughout the night. The two acts will be Andrew Robinson, an acoustic singer songwriter, and Pistol Pete. Pistol Pete has been rocking the area for years with their cover and original rock songs. Andrew Robinson will perform from 4:30 till 6:30 and Pistol Pete will close the night from 7 till 10.

Make sure you bring the kids because there are one time events happening for them as well. The Boys and Girls Club Theater Program will be there performing skits. The Guilford High School Chess Team will have a booth set up giving free lessons. And Boylan High School will have a photo booth where they can get their picture taken with friends.

City Body will also be on hand giving cooking demos using some delicious produce plucked right from the market. Their demos will be at 5 and 6 and will include free samples.

The weather is supposed to be perfect so round up the troops and make a trip downtown this Friday night.
