There are multiple empty buildings in Rockford. Is it time to follow what a near-by city is doing?

The city of Freeport has approved the demolition of the old King Community Center, according to WREX. The building has been vacant for sometime and has turned in to an eye sore, much like several buildings around Rockford.

There are vacant properties all over Rockford and it might be time to take them down. It may cost a little but it will clean up the forest city's appearance and eliminate place for hidden criminal activity.
