A tornado touched down near Midway Airport yesterday at 3:48 p.m.

I love the weather. Maybe I was a meteorologist in my past life?

I've been fortunate enough to never have seen a tornado or had my life impacted by one. I always held to the fact that I live in the suburbs of Chicago and that tornadoes need big open fields to build momentum in order to touch the ground.

Well, everything I've ever known about tornadoes I can throw completely out the window.

This incredible video was taken yesterday when a tornado touched down just north of Midway Airport in the south side of Chicago.

According to WGN, this is the first tornado that has touched down in city limits in the past 10 years. The tornado only lasted ten minutes, but that is enough for me to freak out!
