Rockford Portillo’s To Open June 9th

Judging by Facebook and Twitter posts, the day all of Rockford has been waiting for is nearly here. According to the company's website, the Rockford Portillo's location will open for business on Tuesday, June 9 at 10:30 a.m.

Request the day off from work now and perhaps make plans to begin the campout at 6090 East State Street.

According to the website:

The Rockford Portillo's will be the 39th Portillo's in the United States. Founder Dick Portillo is scheduled to attend and is looking forward to greeting fans and thanking them for their support over the last 52 years.

The Rockford location also still is hiring for all positions. You can apply in person Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the temporary hiring center at 6234 Mulford Village Drive in Rockford.
