Rockford (Luckily) Isn’t the World’s Most Expensive City–But, What Is?

As anyone who lives here in the Rockford area can attest, our city is not without its challenges. However, trying to make ends meet in one of the world's priciest metropolitan areas is not one of them.

Sure, Rockford shows up well on lists that we wish we weren't on (crime, unemployment, property tax rates, overall quality of living), but, as organizations like Transform Rockford have shown, we're working on making ourselves a better place. And, we know that here in the Rockford region, you get a lot more bang for your buck when it comes to housing and cost of living...unlike, let's say, Singapore. Or really, any of these places.
