The Rockford City Market will open for the 2017 season on May 19, and the market committee is currently hard at work planning the new season. Vendor applications are still being accepted, but what they really wan to know is what changes you would like to see at the market this year.

Earlier this month the Rockford City Market posted this question on Facebook...

We're planning away on the 2017 market season and we want to hear from you! What types of Vendors would you like to see added to the market this year?

Rockford residents have offered many vendors they would like to see at the market this year, including more fresh produce from local farmers, numerous musical acts, and an even more expanded City Market area. One suggestion though is something this Mom totally agrees with...

Now, I understand some City Market patrons may prefer not to have kid craziness amidst their shopping experience, but as a parent who loves to go to the City Market I think this option could have great appeal. Last year my family couldn't make it to the market as often as we would have liked because keeping the littles entertained can be an issue sometimes. Am I alone in thinking making the City Market more kid friendly is a good idea? What would YOU like to see this year? Let us know in the comment section below.
