For the first time in school history, Rock Valley College is hosting the NJCAA Division III women's basketball tournament this week and athletic director Misty Opat is hoping to fill the seats.

Opat, who also is the women's coach and hoping to guide them to their fifth national title, is looking for 24 people to donate $100 each so she can distribute free tickets over the three-day event.

The Golden Eagles are the top seed in the tournament and open play at 1 p.m. on Thursday. The team has a solid mix of local stars, including East graduate Madi Hecox, Harlem's Madison Vincencio and Boylan's Jessie Schirro. There are four games each day.
