Congressman Kinzinger has been taking some heat for not holding a town hall. That's going to change this weekend.

RegisterStar - With the controversy over health care swirling around him, a town hall meeting with Kinzinger is just what the doctor ordered. And it will happen from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Rock Valley College gymnasium... Doors open at 5:30. Admission is free.

The town hall will be moderated by Eric Wilson of WTVO-17.

The meeting is being sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Greater Rockford and the Association of Mature American Citizens.

All attendees will be given a card on which they can write a question for Congressman Kinzinger. The League is asking people not to bring "signs or other politically oriented items.

Kinzinger has been reluctant to hold a town hall in the wake of other town halls across the country that have turned heated. Hopefully civility will reign Saturday night and his constituents can get some answers.
