The Crosstown Classic is upon so now is a good time to reflect on its history.

Major League Baseball has had interleague play for more than 15 years now. We've sort have gotten used to it. There was a time, however, when it was BIG news whenever the Cubs and White Sox met up during the regular season.

That's what brings us to the above video. Not sure who thought it would be a good idea to have an old cantankerous curmudgeon in Lou Piniella and the controversial, usually hard to understand when he's just talking, Ozzie Guillen do a rap video but someone at Chevy thought that was going to move some cars.

Whenever rap is done by someone who isn't a rap artist, it's usually pretty cringe-worthy. This is no exception.

Hopefully, there will never be a remake of this video. Joe Maddon doesn't have the chops and Ricky Renteria is too nice of a guy to be laying down a diss track.

Let's leave this one in the time capsule and revisit it every 5 years just to remind us what a bad idea really looks like.
