On The Riley & Scot Show, we often preface stories about things a consumer should be worried about by saying that "We're the media, and it's our job to scare you." I guess this is one of those times.

Before my son went off to college, one of the things that we discussed was being careful with drinking. Not just sobriety, not just avoiding drinking and driving, and not just what drinking will do to your inhibitions. We also talked about drinks being drugged. Keeping an eye on your beverage when you're in a crowd is always a good idea, I pointed out, because you never know what someone might do. Since I also am blessed with a daughter, I've given her that speech several dozen times.

Since parental advice sometimes goes in one ear, is shredded completely, and ejected from the other ear, I'm also going to show her the video below. Maybe seeing how easy it is to find yourself in that kind of danger will drive the message home.

The guy in the video calls himself Joey Salads. He's done other videos aimed at showing people how to keep themselves safe, and they're all well worth a look.
