Popular Rockford Area Drive-In Announces Final Flicks

One of the most popular drive-in theaters in the Midwest and certainly one of the most visited by Rockford folk, is getting ready to close up shop.

The Midway Drive-In in Sterling announced a few days ago that this weekend, Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27 will be the final weekend of 2018 for an evening of outdoor flicks.

One of the more interesting things about the Midway is their devotion to horror movies. They understand the history and connection between drive-ins and scary movies.

My first drive-in experience was Cujo. I was probably too young for that flick, but that's a story for another time.

Nonetheless, if you're up for some scary stuff (and of age), the Halloween reboot is going to be on the big screen followed up something that sounds beyond creepy, Hellfest.
