After the recent shooting at CherryVale Mall, the local police are looking at ways to make the mall safer.

RegisterStar - While officers already routinely partol the mall, Chief Robert Swank is looking to increase the police presence there. In addition to increasing patrols around the mall during peak traffic times, such as Fridays through Sundays.

The shooter in last week's murder at the mall is still at large and we've seen a recent uptick in gun violence around the city. It was the first shooting there since two nonfatal shootings occurred in 2016.

Will this added measure make you feel safer at the mall? They already beefed up security after the 2016 shootings. You have to wonder if this will make any difference.
