Police: Armed, Masked Men Ransack Rockford Home
ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) — Police say three armed men in Halloween-themed masks have ransacked a home in Rockford looking for valuables.
The Rockford Register Star reports police responded to a home invasion call around 4 a.m. Sunday. A woman says one of the men woke her. She says he ordered her to open the front door and allow in two other masked men. Police say all three were armed with handguns
They say they demanded money and raided the home for valuables. It's unclear what they took.
Police say the woman suffered a minor injury from being sprayed with an unknown substance.
The investigation is ongoing.
