If you've been on the fence of pet ownership, now might be the time to pull the trigger.

“We are in urgent need of foster families to step up and provide a loving temporary home for our dogs, cats, puppies and kittens, which will in turn make space available for us to save more lives,” said PAWS Chicago Director of Animal Operations, Stacy Price.

PAWS is a great organization. In fact I may have written this blog just to include a picture of Max. Here's Max:

I adopted Max from PAWS here in Rockford a few months ago. He's been the sweetest most awesome little guy I've ever met. We need to work on the barking, but that's about it.

A word of warning about visiting an animal shelter. DO NOT go to one "just to look." It doesn't work like that. It's nearly impossible to walk out of a shelter without a little friend. You also will probably never encounter a happier creature than a newly rescued dog. In related news, dogs are the best.

If you would are interested in becoming a foster family, visit PAWS Chicago to learn more.
