Partial Street Closure in Rockford for Next Two Months

If you plan on traveling on Morgan Street near the bridge in Rockford, expect to use a detour.

I always say there are only two seasons in the Midwest, construction and winter.

Lucky for us, we are in the middle of construction season! Who's excited, not me!

Not only does traffic build up but so does my frustration level when my GPS tells me to go down a road that is closed. Note to self, you can't go down a street that is closed.

Starting today, southbound Morgan Street is closed. (No thanks to you, GPS!)

According to WIFR, it will be closed for about two months. The areas that are impacted by the closure are Morgan Street from South Main to Church Street.

The reason for the closure is for the Main Street reconstruction project.
