Ah, the slip and slide of my youth. It was far more than a piece of vinyl staked down in the backyard with a garden hose spraying on it. It was educational. Really. It taught us planning skills, as we learned it was a bad plan to put it down on a lawn really close to a wooden fence. It taught us first-aid (back to the first lesson with the fence). And, it taught us a bit of horticulture and economics. My dad raged about how hard he had worked on the lawn we just destroyed, and how much it was going to cost him to fix the damage. That's an educational toy.
