Dave Alpert -- Mornings 5am to 10am

A Chicago native, Dave is an award-winning broadcast journalist, with decades of experience at both the network and local news level.  His resume includes nearly 30 years at ABC News, the last 10 as a correspondent based in Los Angeles.  Before joining WROK in 2011, he also served anchor stints in markets ranging from Homestead, Florida to Chicago and New York City.

Outside of news, Dave enjoys ham radio, reading, writing and spending time with his wife, Andrea, their son, Robert, and three cats.

Alan Jones -- 1pm to 5pm

Alan previously was a lead anchor at the CBS TV affiliate in Rockford for 15 years and an anchor at WTVO/WQRF for three years. He also has worked as the marketing and fund development director at Lifescape Community Services.

Mimi Murphy -- 5pm to 6pm

Mimi Murphy joins WROK every afternoon from the WTVO Channel 17 Newsroom, where she returned to the air as the 6 and 10 pm News Anchor in September of 2010.

Mimi is an East High School grad and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Northern Illinois University.  She enjoys sharing her love of music, singing at various community events. In her spare time, Mimi loves to do outdoor activities. Her hobbies include swimming, skiing and biking. Mimi is a big sports fan and especially loves the Chicago Bears.

Mimi and her husband Nino have two children and two big dogs who keep them busy and always entertained.
