You don't need a thermometer to confirm that it's cold outside. If you've stepped outside anytime over the past few days you know it's true. However, if you did check out the temperature this morning you saw something that has never happened before: single digit temps on November 18.

The National Weather Service confirms Rockford reached a low temperature this morning of 8 degrees at 7:42 a.m. That's new record! It edges out the low temp of 11 degrees set back in 1989.
