New Food Items At The Iowa State Fair Ranked

It's always a bright day around the office when the list of new food items at the Iowa State Fair rolls in!

Last year, a dozen new items were introduced including Funnel Cake Sticks, Smoked Brisket and Bacon Mac N Cheese, Caprese Salad On-a-stick, Brownie Blitz, and the Three Buck Bowl.

In introducing 2015's additions, I've ranked them by how delicious I think they'd be. As I don't attend the Iowa State Fair, this is simply a hypothetical exercise. Here we go:

1. Toasted Coconut Caramel Cluster (a frozen chocolate-dipped marvel of fudge and pretzel bits)
2. Golden Fried Peanut Butter & Jelly On-a-Stick
3. Deep Fried Nacho Balls
4. Ultimate Bacon Explosion (8 ounces of bacon-wrapped brisket trimmings infused with jalapeno cheese and spices, then smoke and spritzed with sweet chili barbecue sauce)
5. Apple Pie On-a-Stick
6. Deep Fried Cherry Pie
7. Cattleman's Steak Wrap
8. Donut Sundae
9. Chocolate Dipped Strawberries On-a-Stick
10. Pumpkin Spice Funnel Cake
11. Kernel Kluster
12. 27° Super Chill Beer
13. Bruschetta
14. Gluten-Free Corndog.
15. Corn in a Cup -- a pile of sweet corn cut right off the cob, then mixed with chorizo sausage, chayote cheese, lime juice, mayo, butter and a mix of spices the fair calls "magic dust" (No mayo for me, so it's gotta go last)
