Update: Hensley the lost German shorthaired dog in Loves Park has been found.

According to a statement made on the North Park Fire Department Facebook page: "We're also happy to report that the lost dog has been found and is safe."

We love a story with a happy ending.

Don't you?

A Loves Park family is searching for their dog after she ran from their house fire last Tuesday.

The dog pictured above is similar to the dog that was lost nearly a week ago today after her owners home caught on fire.

The Rockford Register Star shares that Henley, "45-pound German shorthaired pointer with a red head and rear and red splotches throughout the rest of her body", was in the house at the time of the fire and ran off "when authorities forced entry" into the home.

She was last seen "Tuesday afternoon [Sept. 11th] in the 4300 block of Kingsbury Drive wearing a blue collar.

If you've seen Henley or have information on her whereabouts please contact "contact either the Loves Park or North Park fire department."

I sure hope Henley is found.

That's the worst feeling in the world when your animal goes missing. You hope and pray they are ok. If someone found them that their nice and take care of them. You hope they aren't hurt or killed.
