Here's an easy way to enjoy a night our and help support efforts to assist our veterans.

Six Northern Illinois bowling centers will be taking part in a nationwide program to support Bowlers to Veterans Link (BVL) and America’s veterans through the “Bowl for Freedom” campaign. The event will be conducted August 14-16. BVL is a national nonprofit charity dedicated to Brightening Veterans’ Lives.

During that weekend, the centers will offer a special package featuring 99 cent games, 99 cent shoe rental, 99 cent hot dogs, 99 cent Pepsi products and 99 cent Miller beers. All of the bowling proceeds will be donated to BVL.

John Anderson, Northern Illinois Bowling Proprietors Association Executive Director, says the community is excited to support the event:

“Here in Northern Illinois, our bowling centers are committed to the veteran’s cause. We understand the service and sacrifice of our nation’s service men and women, and we appreciate the opportunity to give back. We are behind this program 100% -- from staff to customers to fellow community members. Come down and join us for a fun way to do good!”
