Little Girl’s To-Do List Goes Viral

As the father of a boy and girl, I've seen my share of "dust-ups" between siblings. My two usually get along fine, but...there have been times I've threatened to sell them to the first travelling circus that comes along.

With that in mind, I had to laugh when I encountered the tale of "Hammer Girl" and her list on Buzzfeed earlier this morning.

Apparently, this young girl's brother, Ethan, was going to be gone for a few days, so she took the time to collect and organize her thoughts on how to spend her time while Ethan was gone. What she came up with has shocked many. Here's her list:

Ethan’s Gone List

• Take Ethan’s Bedroom
• Take his money
• Hammer his legos
• Sell blackbear
• Rip Minecraft poster
• Dye his carpet pink
• Hammer everything he loves.

In case you were curious, Blackbear is a stuffed animal.

Hammer Girl's mom uploaded her list to Reddit, where, as you might imagine, it got some attention. Many thought it was terrible that one sibling planned to do these things to another sibling. Some also opined that there was some bad parenting going on around that house.

However, Hammer Girl's mom points out that the list was done purely as a joke (actually conceived and written in front of mom), and that her daughter and son get along quite well. Ethan, according to his mom, enjoyed the list so much that he hung it on the wall of his room.
