Illinois' (and the Upper Midwest's) first dock-free bikeshare program will be making its official debut this weekend in the Forest City.

Before we get into the Rockford-specific details, here's the deal with LimeBike:

Here in Rockford (and Winnebago County), nearly 500 bikes will be placed around the area. Users can download an app on their phone from either the App Store or Google Play to rent a bike for a certain amount of time and then leave it in an approved place when they're done.
