Japanese High Schooler’s Unorthodox Antics at the Plate

Almost 10 million people have checked out the clip above. Not a whole lot of info to go on, other than this is a Japanese high school baseball player demonstrating a rather unusual routine for taking a few practice swings.

Many have found it to be funny, goofy, or clever. Others, however, including MLB players who've voiced their thoughts, are not fans.

"My 1st pitch would be straight at his head," read one Tweet.

"In this league, he'd try that once. Once." was another.

My personal favorite was this comment from an anonymous viewer: "Even if pro baseball doesn't work out for the kid, he has a bright future as a flair bartender.
