That title is obviously tongue in cheek... or is it?

The greatest rivalry in sports (don't @ me) got a little more heated during the first series of the season. This time it was the Cardinals with a little gamesmanship.

It began on Wednesday. There was some rain in the forecast but it looked like it may have cleared by the afternoon. The Cardinals decided to cancel the game 3 hours before first pitch and reschedule it for the next day. The Cubs were supposed to have Thursday off but now they had to spend a sixth (6!) night in St. Louis instead of heading home before playing in Milwaukee on Friday.

Then the above play happened. I've watched A LOT of baseball in my day and have never seen a ball get stuck to a catcher's chest protector. Is it legal to have gobs of pine tar on your equipment? I don't know but it sure seems fishy. I'm not naive enough to think that teams aren't cheating all the time but it's always nice to see your hated rivals get caught.

Dirty cheaters.

P.S. Just to show I'm not totally biased. I'll include this Cubs lowlight from 2003. The good old days of Sammy and Dusty. This team has changed so much in the last 15 years.
