Illinois High School Teacher Thwarts School Shooter By Herself

Quick thinking by a Mattoon High School teacher probably saved many lives. 

ACJ - (Angela) McQueen, 40, a math and gym teacher, was able to subdue and disarm the student before anyone was fatally injured.

Just an incredible effort from a teacher, putting herself in danger to save who knows how many lives.

The school released this statement on their Facebook page.

The injured student is expected to be fine. The shooter has not been identified because he is a minor.

A big shout out and thanks to Mattoon teacher Angela McQueen. Hopefully, the rest of your career is a little quieter.
